Searing Means Flavor
Get great flavor from your meat, beef, pork, chicken or fish, by searing each side before progressing with your favorite recipe. Use approximately 1 tablespoon of oil, just enough to coat, not cover, the bottom of the skillet. Heat on medium, just below the smoking point. Place meat in the skillet, turning occasionally, until you achieve a golden brown, not black, crust on all sides. If this is the only method of cooking for your recipe, and the meat has not achieved the desired temperature, place in an oven safe dish and heat in a 350 degree oven until appropriate temperature is reached.
Taste the searing difference with the 12oz Grilled New York Sirloin Strip Steak for $16.95 served with maitre d’ hotel butter, from the 30th Anniversary Menu.
